2021 Kayak Round 1 – Report

Round one of the 2021 Getaway Outdoors Cockburn/Kelmscott & Hobie Polarized WA Bream Classics Kayak Series kicked off in Mandurah over the weekend, in true summer style it was a hot and still day on the water with most anglers struggling to find quality fish. 16 of the 32 anglers failed to bring back a fish however those that did were rewarded with the average size fish being 570g.

2021 Kayak Round 1 – Results

32 anglers headed out on the Murray River today to try and tempt some of the hard-fighting black bream the river is renowned for. Hot and mostly still conditions made it a hard slog for most with only 34 legal bream brought back to the weigh-in at 2 pm however with an average weight of 570 grams they were mostly good-sized fish.

Coming out on top and backing up his Mandurah result from the 3rd kayak round last year was Joseph Gardner.

2020 Kayak Round 3 – Results

Sunny and still conditions are not generally how you want to fish the town canals in Mandurah however 32 kayaks went out today to try their best launching from the Offshore Fishing & Sailing Club in the Mandurah Marina.

Coming out on top was Joseph Gardner who did the miles to get the smiles, traveling over 30km round trip to the Murray River to get his fish.
